Our story…
When Elijah was born and we heard the words Down syndrome, we didn’t yet know what that journey would look like. What we’ve learned since is this: Elijah doesn’t move through life slowly; he moves through it with purpose, joy, and a determination that puts the rest of us to shame.
If you’ve ever met Elijah, you know two things right away: He loves big and he loves Lightning McQueen. Fast cars, big smiles, and a heart that goes full speed every single day.
Every day he shows up with a grin that says, “Let’s go!” like he’s lining up at the starting line with Lightning McQueen himself. Elijah celebrates the little victories like they’re championship trophies.. A new skill. A new step forward. And he reminds us that progress isn’t about speed, It’s about heart. And Elijah has more heart than anyone we know.
And just like Lightning McQueen, Elijah reminds us every day:
It’s not about how fast you go.
It’s about how much heart you bring to the race.
